Residents of the Tibetan region hit by a landslide Saturday night are placing blame for the tragedy on the runaway construction of hydroelectric plants, mining, and resulting deforestation. Latest reports indicate 337 people are dead and over 1,200 are still missing, in Zhouqu (འབུག་་ཆུ་ "Dragon River"), in what observers are calling a "man-made disaster."
